I’m an academic and policy advisor. Currently, I’m Part-time Professor at the European University Institute. I work as package leader in two Horizon projects: ANIMA MUNDI and StreamSCAPES. Before that, I was REBOOT’s Principal Investigator for Erasmus University Rotterdam.

My work centres around the European Union and its global action: its cultural diplomacy and relations, its cultural/audiovisual policy, and the ways it links culture and sustainable development.

I'm convinced that the role of culture is severely undervalued in policy discussions regarding the EU's development model and its global actorness. My work examines and expands intellectual and policy debates in order to build robust, evidence-based avenues for correcting this.
